The Urban Development Committee of the Confederation of Madrid Entrepreneurs (CEIM) visited Madrid Nuevo Norte’s exhibition this morning to learn first-hand about the project.
The delegation praised the large, interactive city model that accurately recreates the physical appearance of the north of Madrid once Madrid Nuevo Norte is completed. They also enjoyed a virtual tour of the new look of northern Madrid, thanks to the VR headsets with 360º images, and immersed themselves in the project, watching the architectural recreations projected on the walls.
In the “Habla” room, where visitors are encouraged to share their views on the various elements of the project, several CEIM representatives gave their feedback on the visit. They underscored the importance of Madrid Nuevo Norte for the economy of Madrid and Spain. The project will generate some 250,000 jobs between the construction phase and those subsequently created in the Business District that will emerge around the renovated Chamartín train station.
The Madrid Nuevo Norte exhibition space, located at 120 Castellana Avenue, opened on 18 December. Since then, more than 20,000 people have visited the facility to obtain information on the most significant urban regeneration project in Europe, which will propel Madrid to the forefront of large international capitals.
